Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and all around the world November 1 through 2. Throughout Day of the Dead, individuals commemorate and honor the memory of their family and friends who are no longer with us.

Celebrate the tradition of Día de los Muertos with Phoenix Public Library!

​Visit an exhibit of altars inspired by the Día de los Muertos tradition. Participants were asked to create altars honoring their loved one's unforgettable influences. Also included are staff contributions with the theme of "What a Difference Words Make: Authors Who Have Touched Our Lives." Participants were invited to create nichos honoring an author whose writings made a difference in their lives.

Join us for a celebration for all ages for a fun Día de los Muertos themed Storytime, sugar skull decorating and mask coloring activities. All ages.

​Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a fun sugar skull decorating activity!  Materials will be provided but supplies are limited.
