Friends of the Phoenix Public LibraryImage of Friends members at Mesquite Library

The Friends have supported Phoenix Public Library since 1977, reminding decision makers why libraries are important and raising money for Burton Barr Central Library and all 16 branches in the library system.

You can help!

Become a member - for as little as $20 per year (senior/student membership), help your library and enjoy special members-only events.

Volunteer - have you harbored a secret desire to be a librarian? Volunteer at the Friends' Warehouse or at any branch library, stocking used books for resale, researching books to help price them appropriately, or organizing office and storage areas.

Host a book drive - help the Friends collect new or gently used books for resale by hosting a book drive at your office, school or church.

Get involved at your local branch - in addition to raising thousands of dollars for each branch library, Friends' groups help plan and host events.
