Center for Children's Literature
Located in Children's Place, the Center is a special collection devoted to the words and pictures that bring children's literature to life.
The collection includes:
- 3,800 volumes based on Meigs’ A Critical History of Children’s Literature, as well as an extensive collection of folk and fairy tales
- Books written by children that have been professionally published
- Pop Up Books
- Original art by award-winning illustrators including David Shannon, David Wiesner, Eric Carle and Arnold Lobel, as well as local artists including Ron Himler, Sylvia Long, Lynne Avril, Amanda Shepherd and Michael Lacapa.
