The Legacy of Rudolfo Anaya
Born on October 30, 1937 in Pastura, New Mexico, Rudolfo Anaya is best known for his 1972 novel Bless Me, Ultima.  The "abuelito" of Chicano literature, Anaya earned a B.A. in English and American Literature from the University of New Mexico.  He went on to complete two master's degrees - one in English and another in guidance and counseling.  He has published collections of poetry, short stories, novels for adults and one for teens, and books for children.
