Desert Sage Library's design highlights include a stone exterior facade, entry court with desert landscaping, and interior window seating. Desert landscaping by Gregory K. Flanagan & Associates includes sweet acacia, Texas ebony, Chilean mesquite, and varieties of sage.

The library features a Best Picks collection with popular new titles, a First Five Years/Los Primeros Cinco Años interactive learning space for families with young children, Teenzville - a special "teen only" area, WiFi and Internet-accessible public computers.  The library also offers special collections of large print and Spanish-language materials.

A recent remodeling project refreshed the building with carpet, paint and new lighting.  It also combined service desks, providing customers one-stop shopping for all their library needs.
