Cholla Library's architectural features include massive cement walls, a Quonset-style corrugated metal roof, and bright yellow shelving with red accents. A yellow brick road in the lobby directs customers to self-check stations.  Xeriscaping has been used to accent areas around the building.

The first floor featues popular movies and bestselling books in a "Best Picks" collection, a new book area, a Sight and Sound section for audio-visual materials, fiction collection, and the children's collection with a First Five Years/Los Primeros Cinco Años interactive learning space for families with young children.

The second floor features a multi-purpose room for community meetings as well as library programs, Teen Universe - a special "teen only" area, Spanish-language materials collection, adult nonfiction, Internet-accessible public computers, magazines and newspapers, and a print enlarger for the visually impaired. WiFi is available throughout the library.
