​2015 IMLS National Medal for Museum and Library Service

​Phoenix Public Library was named as a finalist for the 2015 National Medal for Museum and Library Service! The award is the nation's highest honor given to museums and libraries by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. This honor recognizes the contributions of Phoenix Public Library's exceptional programs and services such as hive @ central - a discovery space for business entrepreneurs; College Depot - a free, full-service college access center; Kids Café – a partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank which provides meals and literacy activities to over 300 hungry children and teenagers per week, and MACH 1 – a space for makers, artists, crafters and hackers.
