New for You

Welcome to the new Phoenix Public Library website! This site was created to be simpler, more rich in content and easier to use to better serve you, our customers.

What's new?

  • The site is responsive, scaling to the device you are using. It is easy to read and navigate, no matter what device you are using to access the site!
    • Searching is predictive. The site gives you search suggestions based on what you've begun to type.
  • Federated searching, or materials from within electronic resources, are presented with other selections from the catalog. Search books and articles all at once!
  • In your My Account area, reading histories are now sortable. Sort by Format, Title, Author, Check Out Date or Loaning Library in ascending or descending order.

What do I need to know?

  • To sign into My Account, you will need to sign in with your library card barcode as your username and your last name* as your password. If you had a custom username and/or password on the old website, you will have to re-create these custom credentials on the new website. Doing so will also make your account more secure. *If you use an MEID as your barcode, your password will be your 6-digit birthdate (i.e. MMDDYY).
  • If you kept bookshelves in your My Account area, you will have to re-create these lists in your new My Account area on the new website.
  • The old site was operational until October 31, 2013. It is no longer available.
  • Check out our Helpful Tips for Using the New Site for more information.
