Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans10/29/2020Up to $20,000 a year

DACA Eligible Fellowship Program Intended for United States Immigrants and Children of Immigrants

  • Graduate Degree Fellowship - must have Bachelor's degree as of Fall 2020 - be at least a senior in college 
  • Open to all fields of study within fully accredited graduate programs 
  • Eligible applicants must be 30 years of age or younger as of November 1st, 2019.  
  • Both of applicant's birth parents must have been born outside of the US as non-US citizens, and both parents must not have been eligible for US citizenship at the time of their births. 
  • Academic Standing Eligible applicants will be pursuing full time graduate degrees at US institutions as of Fall 2019.  
  • Eligible applicants will have a bachelor's degree as of the fall of 2021, or they may already be enrolled in the graduate program that they are seeking funding for as of the application deadline, and be planning to be enrolled full time in an eligible graduate degree program at a US university for the full 2021-2022 academic year. 
  • Eligible applicants must not have begun the third year of the program that they are seeking funding for as of the October, 2020 deadline.

  • Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia or DACA recipients between the ages of 14 and 22. 
  • Entrants must be enrolled as full-time students in an accredited educational institution (secondary [middle/high] school, trade school, college, or university). 
  • Create an original work showcasing your idea for a SOLUTION or STRATEGY to fix the very real problem of reckless and distracted driving.
  • Additional categories for award include 
    • Spanish Entry Award: Spanish language entries may be submitted in the categories of art or video. 
    • Sports Team Award: Sports team entries may be submitted to the video category. Sports teams must be a school team (middle school or high school).
AAUW’s International Fellowship Program11/15/2020Up to $30,000

  • Cannot be a citizen of the U.S.  
  • Have citizenship in a country other than the United States or possession of a nonimmigrant visa if residing in the United States

​Women's Scholarship

A woman is eligible for recommendation by a local chapter if she:
  • is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada;
  • Must be resuming studies after interruption of education
  • is enrolled in a certification or degree program;
  • is living and studying in the United States or Canada for the entire course of study;
  • has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life;
  • is within 24 consecutive months of completing her educational program which, at the conclusion of, will lead to employment or job advancement;
  • will complete her program of education within 24 months after the beginning date of the term for which the grant is requested.
A woman is not eligible for grant consideration if she:
  • is requesting the grant for use in prerequisite courses needed to secure admission into another program of study;
  • is choosing immediate continuation of her education beyond the current program for which the grant is requested;
  • is enrolled in a doctoral degree program.

From Failure to Promise Scholarship7/31/2021$10,000

  • Work will be judged on the basis of originality, quality of research, and effectiveness of presentation.
  • Contestants must be high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate-level college students with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, pursuing or planning to pursue a degree at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
