College Depot at Burton Barr Central Library provides free year-round programming targeting various topics of the college planning process such as creating a college timeline, preparing scholarship essays, and applying for financial aid. ​

During the academic school year:
Workshops on various topics including college exploration, financial aid, scholarship searching, and more are presented free of charge and open to the public. Registration is required for some programs as seating might be limited.

FAFSA Assistance 
FAFSA Assistance is provided to students and their families through specialized programming to assist with the FAFSA application and creating FSA IDs through hands-on small groups and workshop sessions during the peak financial aid season. Registration is required for some programs as seating might be limited. 

​​reEngage Phoenix Advising Sessions 
reEngage Phoenix Advising Sessions ​offer students who need their high school diplomas or GEDs a chance to get personalized help from staff who will be available to provide information to youth and adults who have not completed high school and de​​​sire to continue their education. Assistance includes help finding GED preparation sites, alternative high schools, and adult online high schools. Call 602.261.8847 or email college.depot@phoenix.gov to set up an appointment for a reEngage Phoenix advising session. 


During the summer:
Free Summer Camps for students entering 8th-12th grades are offered every summer.  Students will meet and spend time with their peers, and learn valuable information about various topics including college preparation, college exploration, financial aid, scholarship searching, and more. They will also hear from guest speakers, play games, and have fun! College Depot will provide snacks. Registration is required as seating might be limited.

College Depot Outreach Request: 
If you are part of an educational organization and would like College Depot to present to or otherwise contribute to one of your organization's events, please fill out this request formCollege Depot supports our community partners and we will make our staff available for education related events when possible. The date and type of request might determine College Depot Staff availability. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response. Request are handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 602-261-8847 or email us at college.depot@phoenix.gov.

FAFSA priority deadlines for the 2018-2019 school year are fast approaching. There is still time for you to complete your FAFSA. Come and receive FREE assistance with the application process at College Depot in a small group* setting. There is a limit of seven students per FAFSA group. Registration is required for this event. 

*We also offer individual appointments, call 602-261-8847 for availability.
