Summary:
A thief sneaks into the apartment of Roman aristocrat Anzaloni, situated on the Roman Via Merulana, and steals a fortune in jewelry. But as soon as Inspector Ingravallo starts to question the neighbors, he immediately has the feeling that something very fishy is indeed going on. What looked like an ordinary theft becomes an incredibly tangled mystery that will lead to a very unexpected outcome.
