Summary:
On a trip to France, Ollie falls in love with an innkeeper's daughter and asks her to marry him. Georgette (Jean Parker) gently refuses the proposal which makes Ollie wish to commit suicide, with Stan in tow. Before they can make their attempt, they are stopped by Francois (Reginald Gardiner), an officer in the French Foreign Legion. Francois convinces Stan and Ollie to join the Legion to help Ollie forget about Georgette.
