Summary:
María Isabel es una bella y dulce indígena que vive en un pequeño pueblo del estado de Nayarit con Pedro, su padre y su madrastra Chona, de quien únicamente ha recibido maltratos desde la infancia. Años más tarde, María Isabel llega a la ciudad de México en busca de nuevas oportunidades para sacar adelante a Rosa Isela, la hija de su mejor amiga Graciela, quien ha muerto años atrás. Finalmente entra a trabajar a casa de Ricardo Mendiola padre de Gloria, una niña de seis años, quien verdadero al enamorarse de Ricardo, él por su parte, encontrará en la bella indigena, todos los valores y sentimientos que estaba buscando desde el fallecimiento de su esposa. para poder estar juntos deben sacar de obsesionada con Ricardo y está dispuesta a hacer lo que sea con tal de conseguir su amor. Pese a todas las adversidades, María Isabel y Ricardo tratarán de formar una familia, pero el destino aun les tiene preparadas varías pruebas para su amor.
Maria Isabel is a beautiful and sweet Huichol women from a small town in Nayarat who works for an upper class family. Maria Isabel befriends Graciela, the daughter of her boss. Pregnant and scared, Graciela runs away from home. Shortly after giving birth to Rosa Isela, she dies due to a heart condition. On her death bed, Graciela asks Maria Isabel to care for Rosa Isela. Maria Isabel accepts, although she had no idea what life would bring. Years later, Maria Isabel finds work with Ricardo Mendiola and his daughter Gloria. Maria Isabel falls in love with Ricardo, but keeps it secret for many years. Finally, Ricardo realizes his feelings for Maria Isabel, they marry, and try to form a family.
