poetry slam series specifically designed for young people the the ages of 13-19. We meet the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in Teen Central. Bring your beat or just groove on the poetry. This event is uncensored and may include some adult language. Phonetic Spit is a non-profit organization of young adults and mentors dedicated to empowering youth through civic service, youth development, and the art of writing and performing poetry. The workshops and performances are free. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend but preference in seating and participation is given to youth poets first.
