Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows Phoenix Public Library card-holders to get books, audio books, videos, copies of articles and microfilm not owned by the Phoenix Public Library system. CDs and DVDs are not available through this service. Locating and receiving a requested item usually takes one to four weeks. Most items can be picked up at any Phoenix Public Library location. Microfilm can be used at the Burton Barr Central Library only. Phoenix Public Library does not charge for interlibrary loan services and is able to fill most requests through other non-charging libraries. Some libraries, however, do charge fees ranging from $5 to $20. These costs are passed on to the borrower. To use interlibrary loan services you must have a Phoenix Public Library card and no fines or fees over $10. To place an interlibrary loan request, see your reference librarian, place a request online or call Interlibrary Loan, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (602) 262-6066. |
