- What is "My Online Account?"
Library cardholders can access their accounts online using the library card number and last name given during the time of the card issuance. If you have previously created a Username and Password, you can still access your account with the information you created during online registration. New cardholders can create a customized user profile that enables access to Library services online with a Username and Password, as well as a number of other enhanced personlized features such as:- My Bookshelf - organize your favorite readings into an unlimited number of bookshelves.
- My Searches - save your favorite searches to your profile for later access.
- My Events - customize your views of Library programming services.
- And a lot more!
The Library also offers non-Library cardholders an opportunity to register for an account and enjoy the benefit of personalized access to Library services. (Access to Library materials and databases still require a valid card number.)
Create a user profile
A user profile enables you to establish a username and password for accessing your Library card account. By setting up a username and password, you no longer need to remember your library card number for placing holds, renewing your materials, etc.
A user profile also allows you set set up customized views of the Library program calendar, sign up for email notifications and newsletters, saving your favorite Library resources, and create your own custom Library using the My Bookshelf feature.
If you are not a Library card member, you can still register online to receive Library newsletters, program notifications and more. As before, you are still required to have a valid Phoenix Public Library card if you want to use the "Place hold", "Renew Your Materials", "Review Your Library Card Account" or when accessing databases remotely.
Accessing your account
You can access your account using either your Library car number/ last name or using your Username/ Password if you have previously created one. Usernames and passwords are not assigned by the Libary and must be established by accessing the "Update My Profile" link on the "My Account" page after you sign in.
