This list was selected by Jill Detter, a library assistant who has worked for Phoenix Public Library for 23 years. Jill has worked at Century Library, Harmon Library, and at Burton Barr Central Library in the areas of Youth Services and outreach services, which included Book Blast and Book Bridges. Another favorite of hers (not on this list) is Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones. She regards it as one of the best fantasies and dog stories ever written.
