ABOUT THE EVENT:
Acacia Library has had a number of children successfully complete the library's winter reading program. The number of children at Acacia Library finishing the program this year is double that of last year. Last year, the number of finishers was nearly triple the previous year.

To celebrate the end of the program and to celebrate the children who have successfully completed the program, Acacia Library is hosting a "Tie Dye Your Winter Reading T-Shirt" event. The winter reading program's final incentive prize is a Centennial-themed t-shirt.

To complete the program and win a t-shirt, children will have read 12 books or been read to for 4 hours -- for those too young to read by themselves.

The winter reading program is sponsored by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, Acacia Chapter.
