WHAT: Phoenix Public Library Launches Summer Reading Program with Diamondbacks Bobby Freeman and Baxter
Media will have an opportunity to cover the launch of "Read, Play, Win!" summer reading program. Arizona Diamondbacks organist Bobby Freeman and mascot D. Baxter will perform their "Bobby and Baxter" show.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
"Read, Play, Win!" is a free summer reading program sponsored by the Arizona Diamondbacks and The Arizona Republic. The program runs from May 29 through July 28 at seven library systems in Maricopa County.

By reading 50 pages or listening to a book being read for 15 minutes, children, birth to age 18, can earn prizes. As a special "signing incentive," children will receive a voucher for a ticket to a Diamondbacks' game.
