WHAT: Councilman Daniel Valenzuela Celebrates Expanded Hours at Palo Verde Library
Media will have an opportunity to cover a celebration of expanded hours of service at Palo Verde Library. Activities include a storytime with Councilman Daniel Valenzuela (6:15 p.m.), unveiling the Councilman's "Yours to Explore" poster that encourages reading (6:50 p.m.) and a meet-and-greet with him.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Expanded hours of service are being offered at nine Phoenix Public Library locations. Palo Verde Library began expanded evening hours (7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) on August 6. Hours were expanded at the request of the City Manager and the approval of Mayor and City Council during the most recent budget process. Library locations were chosen to provide greater access to library services throughout the city.
