Ironwood Library Kicks Off Winter Reading with Special Program Jan. 26

Members of the media are invited to attend Phoenix Public Library's official winter reading program kick off at Ironwood Library. Children up to 18 years old are eligible to participate in the program. Participants can earn prizes by spending time listening to, or reading books. Everyone who signs up for the program will receive a free book log and will have the opportunity to earn prizes including an animal stamp, a finger puppet, and a 10-color pen and coloring book. The bonus prize for participants who read with a family member is a plush stuffed toy dragon in assorted colors. The program will:

  • Present information about endangered species by the Phoenix Zoo
  • Have a special appearance by Phoenix Public Library mascot BookBreath
  • Recognize Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Phoenix Public Library's winter reading program sponsor
