PROGRAM WITH DIAMONDBACKS BOBBY FREEMAN AND BAXTER

Media will have an opportunity to cover the launch of "Extra! Extra! Read Your Way to the Ballpark" summer reading program. Arizona Diamondbacks organist Bobby Freeman and mascot D. Baxter will perform their "Bobby and Baxter" show.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
"Extra! Extra! Read Your Way to the Ballpark" is a free summer reading program sponsored by the Arizona Diamondbacks and The Arizona Republic. The program runs from June 1 through July 31 at 10 library systems in Maricopa County.

By reading or listening to a book for 50 pages or 20 minutes, participants advance on the gameboard and earn prizes. Readers who reach the finish line receive a voucher for a Diamondbacks game.
