Media will have an opportunity to cover this free family event with PBS-program characters Curious George and Maya and Miguel, and the library's children's program mascot BookBreath. Councilman Michael Nowakowski is scheduled to lead a kazoo parade at 1:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Storybook Express celebrates the love of reading and features crafts, a puppet show, storytimes, face-painting, balloon animals and a kazoo parade. Free books and goodie bags will be distributed.

Library staff and early literacy specialists will be available to talk with parents about raising successful readers.

The event is sponsored by Bookmans with additional support from Eight-KAET, Arizona PBS.
