| Burton Barr Central Library will host an exhibition of work by T.M. Noël, titled 'Everyone Could Use a Hero," at the library's @Central Gallery. Rendering the images of Martin Luther King, Jr., Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Malcolm X and Tupac Shakur in charcoal, graphite and oil paint, Noël explores 'heroes' in the mainstream, urban environments and historical struggles. Using a style infused with scribbles and scratches, Noël invokes a feeling that the subject is studying the viewer as the viewer studies the work. |
