Create!zine - How to Submit Your Work

Got Art?

What about poetry or a short story? Get published! Submit your work for the next issue of Create!zine, an exclusive art and literary zine published by and for teens by Phoenix Public Library.
Here's how:

Complete a release form. The form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Drop off your work, along with the signed release form, at any Phoenix Public Library location.

It's that easy! Need more details? Here are the complete guidelines:

Poetry & Writing

Work may be submitted on a disk or as a hard copy.
Keep writing entries to fewer than 3,000 words. Your writing may be edited and published in Create!zine without your prior knowledge or approval.

Art & Photography

If you do not want to submit the original piece, you can make a high quality copy of your work.
Every effort will be made to ensure the safe handling of your artwork; however, Phoenix Public Library and City of Phoenix are not responsible for any loss or damage.

All Submissions

All submissions must be your original work.
You must be 12 to 18 years old.
A signed release form must accompany all submissions.
Label your submission with your name, telephone number and age.
Keep violence and profanity to a minimum.

The mission of Create!zine is to serve as a creative outlet for teens in the Phoenix area by giving teens the opportunity to be published and to contribute to the arts in Phoenix.
