Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- May 09, 2012 -- Phoenix Public Library kicks off two summer reading programs May 29. Designed to encourage kids and teens to read during their summer break, the programs feature exciting prizes and run through July 28.

"Read, Play, Win!" is co-sponsored by The Arizona Republic and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Children, birth to age 18, can earn prizes by reading 50 pages or listening to a book being read for 15 minutes. As a special "signing incentive," children will receive a voucher for a ticket to a Diamondbacks' game.

"Read, Play, Win!" booklogs will be available May 29 at any Phoenix Public Library, online at phoenixpubliclibrary.org/kids, or at Apache Junction, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, Scottsdale and Wickenburg Public Libraries.

Teens, ages 12 - 18, can also win exciting prizes by participating in Phoenix Public Library's "Our State, Our Story" summer reading program. Prizes include best-selling books, Harkins movie passes, Harkins souvenir cups and popcorn coupons, as well as coupons from Sonic and Wendy's along with other prizes. Beginning May 29, teens can register, log their reading and submit book reviews at phxlib.org/teenreading.
