Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- May 22, 2012 -- Burton Barr Central Library will host an exhibit of works in charcoal by Jacob Fischer, titled "(un)Familiar Routine," June 5 - August 7 at the library's @Central Gallery, 1221 N. Central Ave.

Through charcoal renderings and abstract imagery, Fischer explores the moment of engagement with a physical space and one's consciousness of it. (Click here for high resolution image.)

Fischer is a candidate in the Master of Fine Arts program at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. He has completed several private commissions and is resident artist at Art Rocks Studio in Gilbert.
