Phoenix Public Library Hosts Artist Jen Urso Feb. 4   Print this page Print this page
Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- January 18, 2008 -- Burton Barr Central Library hosts artist Jen Urso for a slide presentation and discussion of her work at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the Pulliam Auditorium, 1221 N. Central Ave. The free program is part of Phoenix Public Library's FirstMondays Art Salon.

Urso creates site specific installation art that explores thought and memory. Many of her installations are designed to change through the course of time or by viewer participation.

Originally from Lansdale, Pa., Urso received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University with a concentration in sculpture and painting.

FirstMondays is hosted by Ernest McIntyre, executive director of ArtsAZ. Starbucks at Seventh Street and McDowell Road will provide coffee for the event.
