Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- March 17, 2008 -- Phoenix Public Library is seeking an artist to design a new library card that is colorful, playful and reflects the library's new tagline campaign, "Yours to Explore."

The new card is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2008. The library will host an exhibit of the winning artist's work in @Central Gallery in 2009. @Central Gallery, located on the first floor of Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Artwork may be created in any size, but will be reproduced on a 2.125" x 3.375" card and should conform to those proportions. Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Friday, April 18.

Phoenix Public Library is a system of 14 branch libraries and the Burton Barr Central Library. For more information and complete submission guidelines, visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org or call 602-262-4636.
