Phoenix Public Library Presents "Through a Geologist's Lens: The Grand Canyon" Feb. 18   Print this page Print this page
Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- February 05, 2009 -- Phoenix Public Library will host geologist and aerial photographer Michael Collier for "Through a Geologist's Lens: The Grand Canyon" from 7 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. Admission is free.

Collier, a nationally-recognized photographer of more than 30 years, will present his unique perspective on landscape photography. The program complements the national debut of "Lasting Light: 125 Years of Grand Canyon Photography" on exhibit now through March 29 at Burton Barr Central Library.

"Lasting Light: 125 Years of Grand Canyon Photography" was created by the Grand Canyon Association and organized for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibit and program are sponsored locally by the Phoenix Public Library Foundation with media support from Arizona Highways Magazine.
