Phoenix Public Library Offers Free GED Classes   Print this page Print this page
Phoenix Public Library, Phoenix, AZ. -- August 14, 2009 -- Burton Barr Central Library will offer free preparation classes for the General Education Development (GED) exam from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Sept. 1 - Dec. 10, at 1221 N. Central Ave.

The classes are designed to help students prepare for the GED exam in the areas of social studies, language arts (reading and writing), science and math. Books and study materials will be provided for use in the classroom.

In-person registration is required. Students may register and begin class on either Sept. 1 or Oct. 20. The classes are offered in partnership with Rio Salado Community College.
