Phoenix Public Library Exhibits "Nooks and Crannies" Sept. 2 - Oct. 22

Burton Barr Central Library will host an exhibit by Barbara Kemp Cowlin, titled "Nooks and Crannies," Sept. 2 - Oct. 22 at the library's @Central Gallery, 1221 N. Central Ave.
Free artist receptions, hosted by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. during First Friday art walk on Sept. 4 and Oct. 2. Cowlin's paintings explore the unexpected beauty found in inconspicuous areas of public buildings. Her "Nooks and Crannies" series features various corners, views from windows and other overlooked spaces of Phoenix Art Museum. Cowlin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts from Northern Arizona University. Phoenix Public Library is a system of 15 branch libraries and the Burton Barr Central Library.
