Summary:
Scott Daggart, an American anthropologist specializing in Maya culture and professor at the University of Chicago, is spending his summer in Yucatan, near Playa del Carmen, embarked on an archaeological excavation. Scott tries to overcome the death of his wife, killed in Chicago earlier in the course of a robbery. He gets involved in a search of a mysterious manuscript that holds secrets about the end time date on the Mayan calendar.
