Decorate a classic winter scene with graham crackers and candy! All supplies provided. Teen Central programming is for ages 12-18.

Desert Broom Library is delighted to present a one day only family- friendly holiday sing-a-long and family event featuring entertainer Rick Smith. The sing-a-long will run from 12 to 1 p.m.  Crafts will continue from 1 to 2 p.m.  We'll make foam gingerbread men, chalk stencil lights, and 3D paper snowflakes.  Free!

​Sit, Stay, Read! Holiday Edition

Wednesday, December 19 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Read to Ty at this special Holiday event and receive an instant photo keepsake of the occasion. Ty will be wearing a cozy Santa Hat.

Read to a dog -- therapy dogs love to listen to stories! Our friend, Ty, a Brittany Spaniel will be waiting for you at the library. It will make him so happy to hear you read books! Bring your own book or take one from our shelves and spend some time with him. Reading aloud to certified therapy dogs is an excellent way for emerging readers to practice their skills (and lots of fun, too!).

​Polar Express Family Storytime

Wear your pajamas to a special reading of this holiday classic by Chris Van Allsburg! Enjoy cookies with your friends after the storytime! Space is limited and tickets are available at 6pm.

​Holiday Music Concert

Take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy seasonal music by the Desert Vista High School Music Club string quartet.  The quartet will perform songs such as Bell Carol Rock; Swingin' on the Housetop; The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and other familiar favorites of the season during the hour.  FREE! Bring the whole family!

Why stay at home during Winter Recess when you can watch a movie and have pizza with us! We'll be watching Ready Player One (PG-13). This event is free and open to teens ages 12-18.                        

Winter Storytime

Share books, stories, songs, rhymes, and music in a fun interactive program that builds early literacy skills. This program is designed for children birth to five years old accompanied by a favorite adult.
