Getting Started with Universal Class

Whether you want to master marketable job skills or enrich your life with new pastimes, you can be a lifelong learner with Universal Class. All you need is your Phoenix Public Library card.<br></p></div><h3> Creating a Universal Class account<br></h3><ol><li>Starting from the library's <a href="https://catalog.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/Search/misc/esources.aspx?target=164">Universal Class link</a>, choose "Register Now!"<br></li><li>Enter your name and your email address then choose a password. This password should not be the same as your library card password.</li><li>Select your age group.</li><li>Check “I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.”</li><li>Click Continue</li></ol> <p>Are you a visual learner? Check out this tutorial, <a href="https://my.nicheacademy.com/phoenixpubliclibrary/course/1857" target="_blank">Universal Class - Online Courses and Continuing Education</a> through the <a href="https://my.nicheacademy.com/phoenixpubliclibrary" target="_blank">Phoenix Public Library Academy</a>.<br></p><h3>Explore Courses<br></h3><p>Universal Class will provide some suggestions for you to explore when you first get started. You can also select the Course Catalog to browse an Area of Study which interests you. Or, search for a specific course using the “Find Course” search bar.<br></p><h3>Enroll and Learn<br></h3><p>As you browse courses, you will see each course has a number representing how many Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, the course provides. CEUs are not college credits but they are used to measure non-credit educational pursuits, which may be helpful for professional development and skill enhancement.<br></p><p>Select a course title to see a quick overview of the course material including the number of lessons, exams and assignments, as well as the average amount of time needed to complete the course.<br></p><p>After you find something you want to take, select Join course. All your work saves as you go. When you return you resume where you left off. You may take up to 5 courses at a time and take up to 6 months to complete a course.<br></p><p>You can access your Universal Class courses from various devices and platforms, on both PC and Mac desktops/laptops, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices.</p>
