LotClosed<div class="ExternalClass83A0F090B0474A0190A6E78F20ACE5E5"><div><p><br></p><h2><br></h2></div><p>​</p></div>Find the Bookmobile!bookmobile<div class="ExternalClass769CDD58162F4F43A697E714F129C5D3"><h4>The mission of Phoenix Public Library's Bookmobile is to deliver library services to the West Phoenix area, underserved communities and to promote Phoenix Public Library.  <br></h4><p style="text-align:center;"><strong><a href="https://calendar.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/calendar/burtonbarr?cid=19779&t=g&d=0000-00-00&cal=19779&inc=0" target="_blank"><img src="/images/Libraries/Bookmobile/Bookmobile_Events_web.jpg" alt="Illustration of a bookmobile and the words "Bookmobile Events" below it, all on a yellow-peach background" style="margin:5px;width:200px;height:200px;vertical-align:middle;" />​</a><br></strong></p><p>Bookmobile routes and stops will prioritize West Phoenix schools and communities, underserved populations, customers with barriers preventing them from visiting our buildings and events that will raise the profile of Phoenix Public Library in general. ​<br></p><p>Additionally, the Bookmobile will be available to serve across Phoenix at community, library, City, neighborhood events, and through visits to schools and senior centers.<br></p><p>Bookmobile visits​ give the community access to library programs such as storytimes, Tools for School, workforce literacy, library S.T.E.A.M. activities, and it provides the opportunity for visitors to <a href="/services/borrowing/library-cards">sign up for a Phoenix Public Library card​</a>.​​<br></p><h3>By the Numbers<br></h3><p>Last fiscal year, <strong>the Bookmobile circulated 26,778 items</strong>.</p><h4>Since its start of service, it has:<br></h4><ul><li><h4>signed up 2,219 new customers for library cards<br></h4></li><li><h4>served just under 24,000 people<br></h4></li></ul><div><br></div><div><h3>Bookmobile Ribbon Cutting - January 26, 2024​<br></h3><br></div><div class="ms-rtestate-read ms-rte-embedcode ms-rte-embedil ms-rtestate-notify" unselectable="on"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MrpsogRXS3Q?si=EuhtdNa1XzzG3YfY" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0"></iframe> </div><br><br></div>https://calendar.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/calendar/burtonbarr?cid=19779&t=g&d=0000-00-00&cal=19779&inc=0<div class="ExternalClass9CF7BD180DFD45A0962517FE55B80339"><h4>​About the Vehicle</h4><p>The Bookmobile, funded as part of the City of Phoenix American Rescue Plan Act Community Investment Focus Area, was designed and built by Farber Specialty Vehicles of Reynoldsburg, Ohio with comprehensive input, including the vehicle wrap design, from Phoenix Public Library staff.<br></p><p>The Bookmobile is outfitted with:<br></p><ul><li>​Approximately 2,500 items for check out featuring a diverse range of authors, genres and age levels including an extensive children’s and teen collection, a collection of Large Print books and Spanish materials</li><li>A designated children’s space with a reading bench</li><li>Interior and exterior monitors</li><li><a href="/services/unique/seed-library">Seed Library</a> items and <a href="/services/unique/culture-pass">Culture Passes​</a></li><li>​​Wi-Fi</li><li>Accessible lift for ADA access</li><li>A 20-foot retractable awning to provide shade and shelter for outdoor access and activities<br></li></ul><p><br></p></div>https://www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/locations/bookmobile
