Loosen the top 2 inches of soil before planting. Mix the seeds with 10 parts vermiculite, then broadcast the mixture evenly over the planting area. Gently compress the soil and cover lightly with compost or straw. Thin to 1” between seedlings when that are 3” tall. Germination occurs in 20 to 45 days. Requires moderate watering and full sun.
